Along with delegations visiting Missouri and North Carolina, a TUSKON delegation headed by President Rizanur Meral visited Little Rock and North Little
Rock( Arkansas) and Houston (Texas)
. 

The delegation was received by Turkey's Consulate General in Houston, Cemalattin Aydin in Houston where they met with Turkish and American businessmen. 

During their visit in Arkansas, the delegation met with Governor Dale Beebe, Secretary of State Mark Martin, North Little Rock Mayor Patrick H. Hays and World Trade Center Executive Director Dan Hendrix. 

The delegation also attended a briefing by Arkansas Economic Development Council on Arkansas economy and possible trade opportunities with Turkey. Speaking at the luncheon given after the briefing President Meral and Consulate General Aydin informed the audience of the recent economic developments in Turkey and talked about economic opportunities between Arkansas and Turkey.
